Events digest

What's happening in Stockholm this week?

A curated list by @stockholm
Events digest is a list curated by me, Masha @stockholm. I have been sharing interesting events on Instagram for many years and I keep doing it because I like it, it's a way for me to keep myself busy doing fun things, and also because I know many of you appreciate it <3

Can I ask you for a favour?
Please tag me or DM me when you go to some of the events - it's the only way I know that this is relevant and reaches you. Tack 🌸

Events in Stockholm in
December
extended dates
I'm proud of this one - the exhibition has been extended because of my post (on IG and TikTok) and amount of people that found the exhibition through it. It made my week!

”SolfĂĄngare” is a process-based group exhibition by Korvfabriken collective featuring 10 artists who explore the concept of urban transformation via sound, light, movement, installation and sculpture. Went there on Sunday, still in awe!
📍 Hus 15 at Slakthusområdet (in front of Hosoi)
Last day 30/11
Open 6-7 December, 12.00-18.00
free entry

Yearly Christmas market at the publishing house Natur och Kultur. They only publish books in Swedish but there's always a great mix: cookbooks, children's books, novels, non-fiction, etc.

8.00-19.00
Karlavägen 31
FB event
Beckmans (or Beckmans College of Design) has a yearly Christmas market that's always very popular and for a good reason! Perfect opportunity to scout for unique and cool presents for someone (or yourself).
Free entry.

6 december kl 11.00–16.00
7 december kl 11.00–16.00
Rosendals Trädgård
FB event
The best curated market out there (yes I've said so before). This time they are taking over Trädgården which should be pretty cosy no? If I'd have to choose only one market to visit this Saturday I'd go to this one. But you can do more than one in one day, I believe in you.

Check their IG @ekenmarknad for a list of vendors.

12.00-19.00
FB event
A design-focused market curated by AYU (a Stockholm-based design community), hosted at FOGIA, an iconic high-end Swedish furniture design company. To be fair, you should visit the market so you can at least check out the Fogia space.
And yes you can absolutely do both Eken Market and this one in one day. Start in Finnboda and then make your way to Skanstull!

Location: Fogia Collection, Finnboda Varvsväg 19A

There's a high probability you've sold or bought something on Sellpy at least once (I have). They are opening a pop-up with second hand (duh) items and promise everything from clothes to items and toys. Will drop by to check it out!

5/12: 11–19
6/12: 11–17
7/12: 11–17

Sankt Paulsgatan 22A

FB event
A yearly happening I love so dearly. A light festival that brightens our dark days, with a major installation taking place on (yes, on) Stadshuset/The City hall. What's new this year is that more activities are taking place outside of the city - this time in Tensta.

6-14 December
16.00-22.00 daily

PPS. All of the events on this page have been meticulously selected by me.
My criteria: I am planning on going there myself, I've been there before, it sounds interesting, I know the organisers (and know it will be worth your time), or I'm simply curious to go myself. Sometimes I don't add events that I know will be crowded already, sometimes I do.
Rest assured everything here is hand-picked and curated by moi, as they've always been these years.
